About Me: Education

Biographical Information

  • M.S. Instructional Design and Development, 2004

College of Education, Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA

My masters work focused on creating online teaching and learning tools. Further, I gained real experience in proper interviewing techniques, survey design, needs assessment reports, quality control, some background in statistical analysis and qualitative research, and a strong background in work on teams with people of diverse skill sets. Since assessment is such an important part of the educational system, this work almost always included the need for database technology to store the results of assessments.

I use these skills less for educational practice today, but they still serve me well when you and I first meet and we're working together to make sure that I understand what you need from me and how I'm going to provide it to you. Plus, the background I gained in understanding reports and statistics here will help me to work with your Web site's logs to understand how best to improve it's performance and usability over time.

  • B.S. Computer Science, 2002

College of Arts & Sciences, Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA

This is the bread-and-butter of my daily life. With a strong background in computer science, including functional and object-oriented programming techniques, I can tackle almost any problem and turn it into an online application. My undergraduate schooling included work with basic data structures and algorithmic techniques that help me to understand not only how computers work, but how to make them work efficiently for you.
